The mission of the Nauvoo Public Library is to provide materials and services for community residents of all ages for personal enrichment, enjoyment and educational needs. The library is dedicated to providing practical access to all forms of media. Programs will be developed to stimulate children’s interest and appreciation for reading and learning.
We are so sorry to announce that the Nauvoo Public Library will be closed to the public until further notice, effective immediately. We think closing is the best thing right now for the safety of our staff and community. We will not be checking out materials to patrons or allowing patrons inside to use our computers or facilities.
Patrons may still use our wifi immediately outside the building or in the laundromat. Any materials already checked out will be renewed indefinitely until our doors are open again. No late fees will be charged during this time. Any returns can be made through the slot in our front door.
Staff WILL remain in the library to answer phones and talk you through any questions or concerns you might have during regular business hours. 217-453-2707
Remember that the library has a wide selection of ebooks still available for checkout by clicking “ebooks and audio” on our website nauvoopubliclibrary.com Staff can talk you through the process via phone.
Please remain safe, Nauvoo. Stay tuned on our Facebook page for the latest updates.
