Mission Statement

The mission of the Nauvoo Public Library is to provide materials and services for community residents of all ages for personal enrichment, enjoyment and educational needs. The library is dedicated to providing practical access to all forms of media. Programs will be developed to stimulate children’s interest and appreciation for reading and learning.

Library News:

Nauvoo Public Library is seeking to hire a backup aide!
  • Job Description: This person is responsible for library routines, and will perform such other duties as may be required. Backup aides fill in when other staff cannot cover a shift or as needed.
  • Pay: Minimum Wage = $15 an hour.
  • Hours: Several initial paid training days, then on an as needed basis only.
  • No experience required, although basic computer skills and customer service skills are recommended. Must be 16 years or older to apply.

Nauvoo Project Pals: Hancock Co. 4H Open House!
 
When: October 21st from 4:30-6:30 PM
Where: Nauvoo City Center, middle room

Learn how you can explore interests, build leadership skills, and make new friends through hands-on projects, community service, and fun club activities.

This meeting is open to youth and parents who want to find out more about joining 4-H, meet local leaders, and ask
questions. Games and crafts will be provided by Nauvoo Public Library.

Dinosaur Dimensions: A Very Dino Story Time!

Join us on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025 for a very special Story Time! Animatronic Dinosaur puppets will interact with the kids, as Dinosaur Dimensions tells a very dino story! This is a Story Time you won't want to miss!
